This book is a collection of lectures
delivered by over 20 famous Chinese and foreign
experts on Confucianism, such as Yang Xiangkui,
Chen Xiangmei, Li Xueqin and Ji Xianlin during
the years from 1990 to 2000 at the Confucius Academic
Hall. It contains a large number of significant
pictures. The lectures present deep study into
Confucius and Confucianism from different perspectives
and, in particular, expound on the status of Confucius'
thoughts in traditional Chinese culture, the relationship
between Confucius and Confucianism, and modern
civilization. These lectures maintain that Confucianism
still has vitality in modern society and can contribute
to the future development of world civilization.
